Hunan Valin Xiangtan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. grants final acceptance for its new SBQ mill No.3 with a KOCKS 3-roll RSB® 5.0
The Chinese special steel producer Hunan Valin Xiangtan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. issued to Friedrich KOCKS GmbH & Co KG, Germany, the FAC (Final Acceptance Certificate) for the successful commissioning of the 3-roll RSB® 370++/5 in 5.0 design.
It is the 2nd successful installation of a 3-roll KOCKS RSB® at Xiangtan after 2005.
The RSB® 5.0 is designed for thermomechanical rolling and finishes most flexible all straight bar sizes of Ø 16.0 to 100.0 mm onto the cooling bed.
Because of its very uniform deformation over the cross-section of the bar and the limited temperature increase due to the high deformation efficiency, the KOCKS 3-roll RSB® is ideally suited for thermomechanical rolling with a uniform fine grain size.
