SIDENOR rolled the first bar on KOCKS RSB® 5.0
Sidenor Aceros Especiales S.L. (SIDENOR) has successful commissioned its Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB®) 435++/5 in 5.0 design by Friedrich KOCKS GmbH & Co KG.
The KOCKS RSB® 5.0 is one of the highlights of the modernization project at Basauri Works executed by Saralle Group / Spain.
The five stand RSB® 435++ is based on the newest 5.0 generation and contains all most modern features available. It covers SIDENOR’s size range of rounds from 20mm up to 120mm. The remote control (RC) ensures fast size changes and provides a great flexibility. The Size Control System (SCS) works in a closed loop with the new light section profile gauge, the 4D EAGLE®, to ensure closest and constant tolerances. On top of all those features the RSB® is equipped with a quick stand changing system but also a quick roll changing concept which is installed in the new roll shop area where the setup of the new 3-roll stands and guides takes place off-line during production.
After successful installations in America and Asia the KOCKS RSB 435++ is the first one of its size in Europe. The wide finishing range of precision rolled rounds is unique in Europe and will open up market opportunities which can be served with maximum flexibility, best quality considering shortest delivery times.
