Vardhman Special Steels Places Order for 4D EAGLE S

At METEC India, the collaboration between Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. and KOCKS reached another milestone with the order for India’s first 4D EAGLE S profile measuring system. Launched in April 2024, the 4D EAGLE S represents an innovation for in-line profile measuring gauges. The system will be installed behind the soon-to-be-commissioned KOCKS Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB^®) and provides precise, real-time data of rolled special bars in the dimensional range of Ø 16.00 to 100.00 mm as they are rolled onto the cooling bed.

This latest order builds on the foundation set at METEC 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany, where Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. committed to integrating the state-of-the-art RSB® 370++/4 in its 5.0 design into their rolling mill in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. From this site, Vardhman supplies high-quality steel products to a range of demanding processing industries, including engineering, automotive, agriculture, bearing and allied sectors. With the addition of the innovative 4D EAGLE S, the rolling process can take another significant leap forward, highlighting the shared commitment of Vardhman and KOCKS to achieving the highest quality standards.
The milestone of the first 4D EAGLE S for India was captured and commemorated during METEC India when the Vardhman team visited the KOCKS booth to exchange ideas and discuss the next steps for both projects, which are set to be realized in 2025.
